5 Essential Marketing Tools for Growing Brands

Is it possible to run your entire business via your phone? In 2022, it’s not just possible, it’s actually easier and I am going to tell you how!

Whether you’re a marketer for a growing brand or running the entire show, marketing a small company is a challenge. As a small business owner, you already have so much on the go the last thing you want is to waste time on running your online presence. There are a lot of tools out there to trawl through – how do you make sure you’re picking the best apps to promote your business? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, we’re here to help.

Here’s our list of 5 essential marketing tools for growing brands in 2022:

Inshot

So you might have heard of a little thing called reels (wink wink). If not you definitely want to add reels to your social media strategy. Reels are basically Instagram’s version of TikTok. Both platforms are pushing vertical videos with trending styles and/or sounds. Inshot is a brilliant app on your phone to easily create and edit videos for reels and more! This video editing app is super intuitive and has many cool features such as stickers, timers, sound and style effects and you can even export at 4k.

Definitely add this to your tool kit to start creating and posting video content.

Canva

Now, this may just be the best thing to ever come out of the internet… no exaggeration!

Canva has an impressive library of stock elements and templates, it lets you easily create and collaborate on graphics for your campaigns, social media feeds or blog posts. If you’re not a designer and struggle to find your way around Photoshop layers this is the tool for you. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping elements into your design. You can add your own brand colours and fonts to your Canva, too. So no more switching back and forth between your PDF style guide.

With hundreds of high-quality templates, you will be able to easily jazz up all your design documents for any occasion.

Google Workspace

I don’t think I could survive in this digital world without my Google Workspace (formerly G Suite). This integrated system lets you easily organize all your files and photos to the cloud and share them with clients and your team. It also lets you create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings and more allowing multiple people to work on the same documents at the same time! This is definitely my favourite cloud base service out there currently.

Later

This might look like just another social media scheduling app, but look again, my friend! Later really excels at managing your Instagram presence. Did you know there are 1.3 million users on Instagram A DAY. To put that in perspective, that’s the same as the entire population of Cyprus logging in each day! No wonder everyone’s telling you to use Instagram to connect with your clientele.

Later lets you schedule your Instagram posts in an intuitive way using their visual planner. You can view what your posts will look like on reels, in posts, on your grid, and on the feed. And you can rearrange the posts to be aesthetically pleasing in your grid with the easy drag and drop tool – a total game changer. Later will also suggest new hashtags you might want to try so you can reach new audiences. It has a load of useful analytics available once you post, too – including overall post engagement.

Grammarly

People love this one because their spelling stinks (🙈)! Grammarly analyzes a piece of text you’ve written and checks for any errors. The free version covers the basics (grammar, punctuation, and spelling), while the premium version takes it a step further, offering stylistic and best-writing-practice suggestions.

No matter what you’re writing from social media posts to business documents Grammarly helps make sure you don’t showcase a bad typo to the world. This chrome extension will always hover at the bottom of your screen to analyze your spelling and sentence structure. While this is not to be fully relied upon, it is amazing how much it picks up!

Wrap it Up

All these marketing apps can help you to run your business directly from your phone while you’re on the go. You can create, track, audit, and stay connected with your customers with ease. Best of all, many of them are free or very low cost to use. As technology continues to evolve there is a huge benefit in adopting these new mobile tools for your business. Hope this helps my digital friends!

If you’re struggling to think, “what content should I be posting?”, or “what copy should be on my website and social media accounts?” or you’re having a hard time articulating what your business is trying to achieve with its marketing, it sounds like you may need a brand revamp.
